The CSRES Project
CSRES is a three-year educator/student project funded through the
NASA Innovations in Climate Education (NICE) program.
Its goals include:
•
Developing a comprehensive approach to improving teachers' and students' understanding of
sun/Earth/atmosphere interactions through student research using hands-on activities that
combine NASA climate data with innovative and inexpensive instruments for ground-based measurements.
• Establishing an infrastructure, including mentoring, equipment, and experiment protocols, that enables secondary
schools and science teachers to support independent student climate science research projects that will be competitive
in high-level national science competitions.
